Trials of Excellence in Southern Africa (TESA) are a regional Network of Excellence for Conducting Clinical Trials in HIV, TB and Malaria aimed at “Building Clinical Research Capacity within Southern Africa”.
To date; more than 80 clinical research staff and students across ten sites; have benefitted from 30 local and regional courses, conference and workshops organized by network on; clinical and Laboratory research ethics (GCP, GCLP), techniques, safety measures, project management and financial managements & grant writing in addition to clinical management of MDRTB, TB & HIV trials.
Most TESA laboratories are in process of upgrading their equipments, technical abilities and are in process of developing standard operation procedures and trainings for the conduct of Network’s Baseline Study.
